Reflections on cryptography, usability, and security. Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Useable security on a phone. The last post I had discussed password bassed cryptography on a windows phone. T he quality of that code aside, the technique it uses - password based cryptography - is the best I know of for storing data securely on Windows phone or Android currently. Sadly, it is pretty abismal from an enduser usability standpoint.
